Marijuana is one of the most abused drugs today, and it has been regarded as the commonest abused illicit drug in the US. The drug is also usually referred to as Cannabis and is got from the Cannabis plant.

The drug is used in various ways, the commonest being smoking. It can either be smoked as cigarettes, or in a pipe. The cannabis leaves are rolled into a joint and smoked like normal cigarettes. They can also be crushed and smoked in a pipe.

It has also been established that some people smoke the drug in blunts, in that they remove the tobacco out of cigarettes and replace it with the crushed cannabis leaves. This will leave a mixture of tobacco and marijuana, which is known to be a very harmful chemical combination. The drug can also be brewed as tea, or eaten with food. It is noted that there are various modes of taking the drug, but one thing remains true, the drug is extremely dangerous and is highly addictive.

Given the fact that the drug reacts with the brain, it renders the user useless for some time. All other responsibilities and commitments will be ignored, for example, the user will no longer want to go to work or school. In case of addiction, the drug should not be stopped abruptly. It is recommended that drug use is stopped gradually, so as to prevent the occurrence of withdrawal symptoms.
