Increase the chances of getting hard-to-get loot drops in Borderlands 3
So, you’ve finally finished the main story arc of Borderlands 3 and you want to get your hands on all the loot. But how are you going to do it without spending hours farming?
There are a few tricks that can help you speed up the process. But you should also know that the game isn’t particularly generous with its drop rates for Diamonds keys Borderlands 3 codes, so you might have to spend some time grinding if you want them all.
Let’s find out what we can do to increase our chances of getting those hard-to-get loot drops in Borderlands 3.
Gearbox is serious about Diamonds
When playing as any class in Borderlands 3, you will need to go through certain challenges to unlock the ability to use the right gear for each specific challenge. This is because Gearbox has put an emphasis on rewarding players for completing these challenges by giving them access to better loot.
For example, when you complete the first quest in the “The Best Defense” chapter with the Warrior class, you will be rewarded with a Legendary item called the Shield Breaker. However, this is only available after you have completed the three additional challenge quests that follow.
This means that even though you were able to finish the initial quest before unlocking the Legendary weapon, you won’t be able to equip it until you’ve done the extra work required to unlock it.
As another example, let’s say you don’t like using a Shotgun – but you still want to play as the Gunzerker class. If you do decide to play as the Gunzerker, then you’ll need to head over to the Gunzerk section of the Customization Menu to swap classes. The good news here is that once you’ve made the switch from Warrior to Gunzerker, you can continue to level up and earn experience as a Gunzerker.
This is a great way to keep yourself engaged while not needing to worry about doing the various challenges. You can just focus on leveling up and earning XP as you would have previously done.
However, if you plan on farming for Diamonds, then you might want to stick with the Warrior class, since there are more ways to do that than there are options for Gunzerking.
Diamond Key Farming
While there are a few ways to farm keys in Borderlands 3, the most efficient one is by using the Loot Farm system.
This Loot Farm feature allows players to automatically mine Diamonds for the game by placing down a specific type of currency (usually Loot) in a designated area. Each area that can host a Loot Farm is marked on the map, so make sure you know where yours is located.
Once you place down a Loot Farm, you can wait for a timer to tick down. Once the clock expires, you will receive a notification letting you know you can collect the items inside.
If you want to speed up the process, you don’t have to stop at just one Loot Farm. In fact, by placing multiple Loot Farms around an area, you can actually collect several items at once. The best part is that you can set up multiple Loot Farms so they overlap, meaning you won’t have to move between them to pick up the items you need.
As well as the Loot Farm system, there are also other methods of farming for keys. For example, you could try the Lucky Find system, which works similarly to the Loot Farm method, except instead of mining for diamonds, you’re looking for Lucky Chests, which contain random loot.
You’ll also come across items known as Lucky Trinkets, which can help you gain access to the Rare Loot Crates, which contain rare and unique items. These are generally pretty easy to obtain, so if you’re having trouble finding them, consider taking some time to grind a bit for a Lucky Trinket.
Another option is to farm for Lucky Items. When you kill enemies in the game, you may see a message appear saying that you found a Lucky Item. If you collect enough of these, you can start the Lucky Item collection mission, which will give you access to a number of Lucky Items with varying levels of rarity.
Finally, you could always play as the Siren class, which does not require you to grind or do anything else in order to unlock loot. Instead, you’ll simply open your inventory and select the “Loot” button to access the various loot tables you can choose from. From there, you can search for whatever types of items you’d like to acquire, such as Diamonds, Gold Bars and Rare Loot Crates.
